The Official Visit offers a unique marketing opportunity for Danish companies in relation to both existing and potential clients and partners.
The timing of the Japan-Denmark Business Forum could not be better. After 15 years of anaemic growth, the Japanese economy is regaining its vigour: Export is growing significantly and profits, investments, and employment are up. And consumer confidence is increasing significantly. Growth of more than 3% is expected for 2004.
Furthermore, the present Japanese government has committed itself to structural reforms that aim at a gradual opening of the Japanese economy.
The reforms have already led to improved market access for Danish companies and the subsidiaries already in Japan generally report positive sales figures.
The Japan - Denmark Business Forum, organised by The Danish Trade Council and the Danish trade organisations, is an important part of H.M. the Queen¹s and H.R.H. the Prince Consort¹s programme.
The application for participation should be submitted to Export Promotion Denmark no later than June 18, 2004.
