Building Vietnam with Danish Technologies 

Visit to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, 11 - 15 September 2006
of a Danish business delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Bendt Bendtsen

The export promotion includes a compulsory basic package plus several individual options. This modified concept is based on company feed-back from the postponed visit in April 2006.

Basic Package (compulsory) 
The basic package comprises:
• Briefings
• Two official openings with speakers from Danish and Vietnamese side, and with the
  participation of Deputy Prime Minister Bendt Bendtsen and Vietnamese counterparts.
• Participation in business lunches with own guests (6 persons per company are included
  in the basic package price)
• Two formal dinners with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Bendt Bendtsen and
  Vietnamese counterparts (6 persons per company are included in the basic package price)
• Marketing/PR activities

Extended package (Optional)
Within the concept there is a selection of extended options for individual company promotion. This is an opportunity to make your own programme depending on your needs and position on the Vietnamese market.

B2B meetings
B2B meetings for your company can be arranged according to your individual preferences. The meetings will take place at the hotel after the official opening and up until lunch. In the afternoon – or on day 2 – visits to local au-thorities and/or companies can be arranged in each city. When you register for B2B meetings, you will be contacted directly by the Embassy in Hanoi regarding details of the contents and extent of the meetings.

Individual company seminars
Within the common framework you may hold your own individual company seminar. Here you will be able to put together your own programme and focus. Individual seminars run for an hour.  Your seminar guests will automatically be invited to the lunch.

Sector seminars    
Sector seminars will give your company an opportunity to present products and meet relevant local players. Companies and organisations involved in the sector will together present Danish strongholds. Topics of common professional interest can be discussed, and a qualified speaker may give a presentation on Vietnamese prospects of the specific sector. 

A sector seminar could focus on one of the following main sectors:
• Energy Efficiency Equipment & Technology
• Building Materials and Construction
• Maritime Industry
• (Sea) Food Processing Machinery & Technology

The programme for the sector seminars will be based on the profile and wishes of the participants. Topics, content and schedule for the sector seminars will be set in co-operation with participants. Your seminar guests will automatically be invited to the lunch.

Invitation Procedure
The Embassy in Hanoi will handle the invitation procedure and marketing of the export promotion in Vietnam.

Each guest will receive an invitation package from the Embassy containing an invitation letter, a presentation brochure, a programme of the business conferences and a reply card - all in Vietnamese - to be returned to the Embassy.

The presentation brochure will introduce all the participating companies and organizations, and will also contain an introduction by Deputy Prime Minister Bendt Bendtsen. 
 
We kindly ask you to forward the necessary material from your company for the presentation brochure - as described in the attached appendix regarding the brochure and the requested material for this.  

Guest profile
The guests are expected to consist of persons within the following categories:
• The companies' own contacts, such as poten tial and existing customers
• Relevant local agents and company representatives
• Representatives of relevant government authorities
• Representatives from selected organizations
• Media

Purpose of Participation
Further we ask you to fill in and return the enclosed form "Purpose of Participation", describing your target groups and purpose.

This form will be forwarded to the Embassy enabling it to produce an invitation list of relevant counterparts.

The budget is based on a minimum of 15 participating companies. Subsidy will be applied for from the Trade Council of Denmark.

After deduction of the anticipated subsidy the package rates are as follows:

If your company will be present with more than 3 persons, extra persons will be charged with DKK 1,800 each.
